Story

Kopaonik Business Forum is organized by Serbian Association of Economists and Serbian Association of Corporate Directors. The partner of the event is MasterCard, and the organization is sponsored by the Prime Minister of the Serbian Government. It is the largest and the most important economic event in the country. Due to its importance and the prominence of the participants, the event is often called Serbian Davos. The four day-long conference gathers over 1200 participants, government and regulatory delegates, financial organizations, and other representatives. As such, the event is a platform for argumentative debate and the exchange of opinions in political and economic environment.

Challenge

Even though the Business Forum is a high-profile event in the media, it was necessary to increase the visibility of certain subjects and participants. Additionally, the conference required meticulous coordination with the representatives from the media. We needed to satisfy the interest in certain participants’ statements and to provide enough visibility in the media for key speakers.

Solution

Year to year, Kopaonik Business Forum has been demonstrating the ever-increasing visibility in the media. The results are true both for the pre-event buzz and the communication of activities, subjects, and participants during the event. The media representatives have displayed higher interest and knowledge regarding the program, panels, and participants. This was sparked by the organized and planned communication. We highlighted the key subjects and gave out strategic announcements – in moderate (a month before the event) or intense (a week before the event) frequency. At the same time, all the participants who were expected to make their press statements, operated through precise schedules. These factors made the reporting of the event go flawlessly, with the media emphasizing the meticulous organization of the Forum. Additionally, the participants expressed their satisfaction with their media placement, and the organizer praised the Forum visibility.
